Many types of companies need a basic engineering lab to create prototypes or test ideas. Companies may need to develop a prototype of a simple medical device, or create some electronics that could be component part of an overall product. The incubator can assist with these activities.
The incubator is finalizing a basic engineering workshop that can be used for prototype construction. The shop is also equipped to handle electronics design, test, and prototyping.
Special Partnership
In addition to providing access to a basic prototype lab, the incubator has established relationships with the Center of Design Innovation and the Virginia Tech / Wake Forest School of Biomedical Engineering.
